Health and Safety

Horizon are proud to have a Health and Safety advisor who is NEBOSH certified.  We ensure that all of our employees, from management level to field based, are trained via our extensive induction training programme.

Our training programme always works hand in hand with any of our client's requirements and in line with their health and safety procedures and policies.  This ensures a safe working environment for all concerned.

We maintain an excellent health and safety record and will continue to do so via our near miss system.

Horizon Cleaning Services Limited is committed to providing and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions for all its employees and in doing so will ensure that other people who may be affected by our activities are similarly protected

The Company further resolves to reduce and even eliminate all risks to health and safety by providing the necessary equipment, safe systems of work, information and training, required to achieve that object.

We are aiming high and every employee has his or her own duty to co-operate in seeking the ultimate in health and safety performance. All employees will be given the opportunity to contribute by way of discussion, consultation and suggestion at all times.

Safety is the most important aspect of the business operation and to achieve business and safety objectives it is vital that the Safety Policy is monitored constantly and modified to suit changing conditions, duties and responsibilities.

In addition this statement/policy will be reviewed and revised on an annual basis using the signature date and distributed to all employees and displayed on notice boards.

Environmental Commitments

Horizon Cleaning Services Limited is committed to protecting and actively promoting the improvement of the environment.  We aim to do this by demonstrating sound environmental performance by controlling the impact of our activities, products and services and also helping to change the attitudes of our employees towards the environment.   

Our Environmental policy supports a programme of continuous improvement to reduce the harmful impacts of our operations on the environment and to prevent pollution.

During the course of our operations and activities we will always strive to improve our environmental performance and Horizon have close working relationships with all suppliers to ensure our commitment to this.

Horizon is committed to sustainable waste management through reducing our consumption of materials, encouraging re-use where possible and promoting recycling and the use of recycled material.  To accomplish this Horizon provides continuous training and support for all employees. 

We source EU Eco Flower products which is the premier European award for the manufacture of ecological products. It is the symbol for products that satisfy stringent controls with respect to their effects on the environment and people.
